About Us

“Bringing hope and encouragement with Christ-like love to emotionally hurting people.”

Hope Alive is a Christian non-profit organization that exists in order to minister in a spirit of unconditional love to those in our community who suffer from difficult emotional and mental health problems, regardless of their ability to pay. We seek to work in a holistic way with each client, helping to address mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs, so he or she can lead a meaningful, responsible life as a member of our Fort Wayne community.

We accomplish our mission through two primary programs:

  1. Transitional Housing for Women – Our Transitional Housing Program provides housing and comprehensive services to assist homeless women in becoming healthy, productive members of our community.
  2. Community Counseling – Our counseling program makes low-cost mental health counseling services available to our community.

Transitional Housing for Women

Our Transitional Housing Program provides housing and comprehensive services to assist homeless women in becoming healthy, productive members of our community, seeking to meet their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs. In order to help each woman meet her own short and long term goals, each woman receives weekly intensive case management, weekly counseling sessions with one of our professional counselors, and is required to participate in a number of groups that cover a variety of topics related to mental health, life skills, and personal and spiritual growth. Traditional assistance helps people survive but our goal is to teach our residents to thrive!

Community Counseling

Our counseling program makes low-cost mental health counseling services available to our community, while also providing mental health treatment for our transitional housing residents. Our counselors provide individual, couples, and family counseling to clients of all ages, races, genders, and backgrounds. We ask our community clients to pay a small fee that is affordable for them; but, no one is turned away for inability to pay. We are committed to making professional mental health treatment within financial reach of anyone in need.
