Founded in 1974 as a Christian ministry that helps hurting women, Hope Alive’s primary goal is to give emotionally hurting people hope and encouragement through the love of Jesus and Christ-centered mental health services. Our heart is for everyone to know their incredible worth in Christ.

 

Our ministry focus is on helping women because their need for mental health support is the greatest in our community. We are the only organization of our kind in Fort Wayne that provides a safe place for women to live while receiving our mental health care.

 

However, women often have loved ones in their lives who also need our help. That is why we offer our affordable mental health services to anyone in need.

We accomplish our mission through two primary programs:

 

Community Counseling – We provide affordable professional counseling services available to individuals, couples, and families, all ages, races, genders, and backgrounds. We ask our community clients to pay a small fee that is affordable for them; but, no one is turned away for inability to pay. We are committed to making professional mental health treatment within financial reach of anyone in need.

 

Residential Program for Women –Through our safe and affordable transitional housing and our mental health service, paired with an individualized approach, our Residential Program is designed to help hurting women in crisis transform their lives in mind, body, and soul. Every element of the program is designed to help women address mental health needs while developing resources and tools for a stable, self-sufficient, and healthy life.
